This might be a dumb question but I just want to make sure. The rotors are coated in some kind of blue stuff. Its not a film or oil its more like paint? Normal?

Also, I ordered them based on recommendations from this site and I was under the impression that factory OEM rotors are Zimmerman brand, so thats what I ordered. The rotors I got are drilled, but not slotted?

Should I send them back?

These are on a 05 c230 sport.

If the actual contact surfaces on the rotors have a coating, it needs to be removed before you install them. It generally wipes away with acetone. Sammy is correct - OEM rotors are drilled only. You can only get drilled and slotted as an aftermarket add-on. I have D&S on the C240 and they are great. They are not Zimmerman, though - Centric.
