Hi Guys;

Just bought an ML 320CDI,:D it has been a few years since I have had a Benz, last was an 87 560 SL and before an 86 300SDL.

I have a question about TPMS, I'm up in Canada and TPMS is not mandatory, if I buy tires without the TPMS modules will there be a warning lite all the time or can it be disabled.
The vehicle is a US model that I'm inporting into Canada.

Thanks in Advance.

Is the TPMS part of the tire or wheel? I know you can buy after market valve stems with a tranmitter on them but I do not know if that is how MB does it. On my Vette they are attached to the wheel with a metal band. In that case they can be moved to a new wheel by replacing the band. The tire has nothing to do with the monitoring system (other than keep the air in :D) .
