this may sound a bit basic but i cant seem to find a good place to jack the car up from the rear with a floor jack. i need to put axle stands under it so i can work on the brakes safely, any advice? i already did the front and used the front crossmember

How come you cant use the original jack that fits in the side hole where it should fit ,then do the brake change 1 side at a time with an old rim under there for a bit of a safety if the car should decide to slip down ,lol .
I would never lift my car under the diff even that i have seen some tyre guys do it on other cars ,they try'd it on mine but i told them not to do it ,the car has it's proper fitted lifting points in front under the doors ,there is a rubber under there just for that ,you should be able to see it if you look under the car ( underneat each door ,near the wheel arch ending ) if you not sure i will take some pictures for you of the where abouts they are .
