I can't promise results, but only what worked for me.
The left hand knob on the cluster, the one for resetting the trip and dimming the gauge lights...well that was corroded. I removed the dial, and (gasp) hacked it apart and hard wired it together (so no dimming feature) My gauges haven't jumped since.
