The other day I was watching David Letterman; Jim Carrey was there promoting his picture (A series of unfortunate events)and he mentioned, and made quite an issue, that he owns a Mercedes-Benz SLR.

Letterman was very unimpressed... I guess Carrey maybe tought he was with Leno...

Leno does not want one

Leno said in an autoweek interview that he did not want an SLR but would rather have the carrera GT...not that he could not afford both.

My sources(I don't have sources) have confirmed that Jay Leno has his SLR. I even have a picture of him with it.

Its not really an SLR, its a 74 Pontiac. He had those guys in the "Bruce Almighty" crew give the once over.

That is correct. Jay Leno was the first one to receive an SLR. A few other celebrities received theirs after him, and then a little further down the list comes one of my neighbors, one of Sweden's wealthiest. Well, not THAT wealthy, but still second behind Per Gessle (lead singer of the 80's band Roxette), in this "county".

I'll take some pictures of his once I get a hold of him.. He also has a badass Ferrari 360 Modena, Excalibur, and he's forced to park his SL55 AMG and his CL500 outside due to only a 2-car garage. What a pity..

Well I have alot of respect for Leno, I hate letterman I don't think he is funny at all. The main reason why I respect Leno is because he is funnier, and he is a car lover.

I would like to meet Jay leno one day.

no he had serial # 00000001 but he auctioned it on tv last year procedes went to charity
