When using a floor jack to put your car on jack stands, do you use the same place as the car jack or somewhere else on the frame? I know it sounds a little silly, but dont want to do any damage. I use the frame on my other cars. Thanx all

i put the jack on the hard "rubber" rectangular pads under the car. that's the jack points for the car.
Vortec...Like these? So you would jack one side at a time to do brakes? So if you use floorjack in the pad holder where do you put jackstand?

Thanks for your time and expertise

What's the weight rating on these? And mind sharing where you snagged them?

Kinda pricey, but I like em.

Load Rating – Jackpoint Jackstands are rated at 4000 pounds. The industry standard for jack stand load rating is to rate jack stands in pairs. Jackpoint Jackstands are rated to satisfy ANSI standards. According to ANSI standards, a single jack stand from a pair must support one and one half times the total rated load for the pair. That means a single jack stand for a pair rated at 4000 pounds must support 6000 pounds. Jackpoint Jackstands have been physically tested to meet or exceed the ANSI standard.
