Fellow AMG addicts, AMG *really* is a powerful drug


I find myself picking up a set of AMG wheels that I really don't need. What drew me to them is their very low price I already restored my "dream" wheels which were the 17" 3pc staggered AMG wheels and haven't looked back at any other wheels. I still haven't had the chance to mount them on my car... sitting in storage

Now, I'm in the process of getting another set... this time the Aero I's with ET11 and period-correct logo (version with the 60mm centers). They are not in the best shape.. but these wheels are much easier to restore than the 3pc so I'm not worried.

Looks like the only cure for an AMG addiction is ANOTHER project

Yep, me too.
In the required twelve step program, I'm on my third, fourth, and fifth cars right now, so I have seven more Benzs to own before I might be considered cured. Woe is me. :-(

No, it's an addiction... Until you have one, you think it's a hobby. When you get one, it's an addiction... You 'HAVE' to have this or that.

A hobby is: "Let me fix this up on the weekend in between football games."

An addiction is: "I have to scour the ends of the Earth for the period correct bolt that will never be seen."

Mike, I agree it's an addiction - I just want to *call* it a hobby, so certain 'others' in our lives can remained fooled for as long as possible!

Me too... I have widebody specific pentas on the widebody, I have 3 piece on the other SEC and last week i bought a set of Aero 1's... they are sat in my garage and I have no use for them apart from knowing I have a set!

The Benz addiction is not unlike the one I have for Jeeps... only more $ ! But my wife will drive the Benz! and My two black Labs love the Jeep... so what's a guy to do? The nice part about these additictions is the only thing that really suffures is you bankaccount!

Jeeps and Benz additction are very similar with the exception of the price! and unlike my jeep... my wife love driving the Benz! besides the only thing that really sufures from these aflictions is your bank acount !
