So after finally sorting out the tri y headers and exhaust situation, we moved on to the paint and body kit.

So initially after purchasing the car, i had never planned on doing anybody work...it was the twin to my SEL and i was gonna keep it that way....

until Macdiety decided to sell his gen 1 amg body kit, at least most of it...i was able to get his side skirts and and rear lower valance...

and the Bondavi decided to part with his Henrik 48 hp replica dog ear front clip....and i snagged a replica rear boot spoiler from over seas....

Plan became to build a SEC amg tribute gen 1

i was pretty nervous that the front clip would be a mess but my body shop did a fine job....the material has no play as its fiberglass but its come out pretty good.
Rear spoiler was able to be tweaked to fit well too.... i think one would have fit better on a 4 door because it kinda didnt sit flush on the sides...so we used to screws to hold it along with tape.

....the rear valance uses screws which its kinda noticeable but i guess thats how they did it

side mirrors, door plates were done

we left the wipers and grill and chrome trims

pentas will stay silver...just cleaning them up for now...if i had 2 sets then maybe one would go blue


the 3 piece Blue wheels for now will stay on the SEL....

switch is always possible and likely down the road

You need those AMG rims that Macdiety is selling. Since you guys are close, you wouldn't have to pay for shipping and maybe could cut a nice deal with him.

I don't need any more wheels at this time. Well that's not actually true of course I do. But I have a clean set of 3-piece AMG wheels and silver in my shed so I have what I need for now. The blue three-piece silver 3-piece and silver pentas for two cars is good.

The blue OZ don’t work on the sedan because the lower cladding is grey . You need grey rims on that car .

This car needs the full blue treatment

and dont tell me it needs to be lowered....you all know about my lowering issues....plus i just took these right after i took the jack out


one issue im having it with putting the fogs back in, you know how there is a retaining clip the bolt goes thru...it supposed to self lock it....well i cant get the bolt back thru it...even under power with a driver......it seems so stupid but what am i missing here
