I just checked the ATF on the 500. It's way low, makes sense. Since the car didn't come with a manual and has a different transmission from the 450, what kind of fluid should I put in there?

...not that I'm expecting that to make the transmission start working, but who knows...

It probably uses the same fluid as any other old mercedes transmission, dex3 or whatever it is.

To be sure you could go to the MB dealer and say you need ATF for the car. I'm sure you will get the right stuff and it really can't cost much more than a parts store. If you're having trouble I might even suggest getting the trans flushed.

There used to be an over-the-counter concoction called Dodd's Kidney Pills or something close. They made you pee bright green. My dad would give us kids one now and again for a treat. It was quite a thrill.
You will have guessed this was before video games ... or even TV for that matter. Entertainment was where you found it.

Commercially available since the late 1930s, the television set has become a common communications receiver in homes, businesses and institutions, particularly as a source of entertainment and news.

Well, my middle name is Methuselah.
I should have said before we got a TV, which was in the mid 50's. Even then, there was only about 6 hours of programming a day in Canada. If you hung steel wool on your rabbit ears just so, you could pick up ghostly images of programs from the USA 60 or 70 miles away.

As long as it doesn't look like dextron you are OK> Red is a bad color in that respect.
I was taking my afternoon constitutional some time back and, after the paperwork, I noticed a distinct red color in the bowl.

Fear, Worry, Anxiety... Then I remembered the red velvet cake we had at an office party. Whew, Relief :shit not:

The year 2200?

My fluids will have leaked down to the core of the earth to be pumped out by thirsty beer drinkers in Texas.
