Has anybody ever heard of this steering wheel manufacturer.
I spotted it for sale in Germany and liked the look of it plus the fact that it is brand new leather so i bought it (hasn't arrived yet)
Here is what the German ad said (translated)
"new sports leather steering wheel including steering wheel hub.
Manufactured by Italvolanti, model Galaxy 380 (70 117 KBA) with 380mm outer diameter.
It is made of high quality and at the time was schweineteuer.Neuware from old stock"

Sounds like it must have been dug out of long time storage??

Run a search on that name here in the archives. I've written several times about it;). Its one of the manufacturers of AMG steering wheels back in the '80's.

Italovanti is a very good steering wheel company. They manufactured one of the AMG steering wheels in the 80's.

The one you bought looks great, a nice updated look for sure!

My package finally turned up in the mail from Germany and it turned out better in the flesh than the pics.
Brand new in the original box and wrapping. The leather and finish is high quality.
I just cant believe this has been stored away somewhere for so long.

Looks great!

Can you post a picture from the side to show the adapter hub setup?
There you go, it came with the wheel (i asked for a W126 adaptor) and just bolted straight up.
If you look back a few posts this seller had a couple more of these in his stock.
They are the right diameter to suit line of sight of the gauges.
Feels good in the hands as quality leather & nice grip with the indentations on the back of the leather.
