Hi all, trying to identlfy this engine / gearbox as my boat almost sank and the engine/gearbox needs fixing. Until I know exactly what it is I cannot order parts. Any info whatsoever would be very useful.

PS I wonder if anyone knew a part number for the oil filter which is now removed but I am having problems ordering it as I have no numbers.

There should be a part number cast on the intake manifold or block. The first three digits will be the engine type, similar to the automotive engines are done. Also, there should be a plate or number stamped on the block which would be the engine number. Get a strong light.
