4520981786 Hey Ladies and Gentlemen;
I would like some hard feedback on the 94 S600 Coupe. I'm considering purchasing this vehicle on Ebay for my Pops (Item# 4520981786) I would like to know if anybody out there had any SERIOUS problems with this vehicle. In my opinion I think the MB's of the past were MADE better than the newer models. I'm new to this venue and would appreciate all words of wisdom good and bad. Thanks again to everyone for their comments.

Respectfully.....

Just go for it.
It is still very nice looking car.

If my information is right, I heard that it has a same transmission as S500, but with bigger engine. So, not very often but occasionally there might be some questions in transmission.

Oh, I guess the insurance costs may be not that easy.

Other than that, my recommendation is go for it.
The rides, acceleration, looks, safety, etc. are still better that most of current cars

97 MB S600 V12, while your screen is "sterile", YOUR 600 looks AWESOME! I've never seen that color. Welcome!

i agree with merc600. however, you'll probably want to drive it all the time so there may be some family 'friction' hehe... [8D]

It will need some 3000 in engine room harness's (parts only) in the next 10-20K at best (if it doesn't need them already). It's a prime year for AC evaporator failure (3-4K job..). Throttle slides like to die, they're about 4K for the pair. This still has the early ECU's (yes, there are two) that can be shorted by a coil that fails, last I checked they run about 2K a piece.

Just a few issues;-)

That aside, they do drive well, can be a bit sterile if you enjoy feedback from the road..
