I have a spare 8 speed tranmission but I'm unsure whether its an earlier F version or newer. I was told that it came out of 406 snow cutter. It has the following stamped into the PTO boss:
406
069122
35614
35451

I'd appreciate any help on this!

Also the last two numbers that start with "35" look like option numbers that one would find on a data card. Any idea how to research what these options are?

Thanks,
Michael

have you had any luck figuring this out? I know that on the f and g the pto bolt size is different, and the locating pins are in diferent spots. I think the later trans has a 12mm bolt, the earlier a 10mm. HTH
