Is it true there were only 7000 450 slc's made in 1975 I just bought one and I am just curious if the guy was full of it either way I am so happy I got this car its amazing I will post pics soon.

It matter what you mean by "only." The fact they made 7000 doesn't mean there is a scarcity of slc's on the market.

OH I was just wondering if his claim that there were originally 7000 450 slc's made in 1975
is true I dont care much about the scarcity I just want to know if he was pulling my leg......I would have bought the car either way it was way to good of a deal at 1500 american for a well running 450 slc in good shape

The only big problem with the 1975 is that the cats are located on the manifolds inside the engine compartment. Has yours been converted to a later system? Quite a few were due to the excess heat this caused.

Sounds like a reasonable number if a little high. They made a total of like 60k slc's for all the years. Good luck!
