Is the gearshift in the 1998 W140 electronic, ie does it have additional intelligence to learn driving patterns, prevent upshifts when driving downhill etc?

I don't know exactly the programs running here, but

I know more intelligent gearboxes. (PSA & Renault)
Unfortunatly not imported in U.S.A. The more spectacular is extremly quik and in high-rev dowshifting when emergency braking.

Audi gearboxes are cool too.
