Anyone know about Dension USA ice Link Plus for iPod and OEM Radios? There was a thread at Christmas on the Dension iPod connection for OEM Radios... did anyone buy? Can anyone report on them? I can't seem to find much. I'm more or less just looking for options to jack in my iPod 60GB I supposedly am going to get for my Birthday/Christmas (shh no one spoil that I know the surprise!!)

Here's the mbnz thread from Christmas...

Here is a direct link to their website and the iPod link for the 1999-2004 SLK OEM radios... I can't seem to figure out if it is just a direct replacement for the CD changer.

I also found the iCruize an interesting low cost read. Looks like it's also a cd changer replacement. Has anyone installed them? Report on them?

Did not follow the links but most of the options that use replace the CD changer will not work (depending on year) as the stock CD changer uses an optical connection.

You can always use bipes MP3 adapter. It works well and is a nice plug & play install.

I thought about getting the Dension and know of 2 people on another forum that have it but it's very, very, very expensive. Basically I use the AUX input on my Comand radio and it's good enough. I put the iPod in shuffle mode and it works out for me. Some people have modified their cassette radio by putting in a tape, removing the radio with the tape inside, cutting the leads to the motor, cutting the 3 circuit board traces to the tape head and soldering in a wire with a jack or plug on the end and running out to the center console to plug the iPod into, then play the virtual tape when you want to play the iPod. There's more details on my website somewhere.
