Hi all

My name's Scott, hailing from Johannesburg, RSA. I just bought my first MB, a 2004 CL600 in pristine condition with 84,000 km on the clock. Hoping to pick her up in the last week of December / first week of January. Happy face :D I can't wait!

Well done Scott - they are incredible cars!
You will hear a lot of people telling you everything that goes wrong with them and it does! But these cars are still one of the most beautiful looking things on the road with performance that will beat most.
If I where you - the first thing I would do is to get all your ABC hoses checked for any sign of leakage or weeping, and replace any suspect ones. This could save you thousands.
Otherwise just enjoy the ride ... great Christmas present ....... Eddy (NZ)

Thanks for the tip! I'll get it checked out as soon as she's in my drive. This is going to be my weekend car (and the one I pick ladies up in for dates), so hopefully I'll be able to resist and to stick to my runaround for the office run etc. :)

Welcome Scott! Is this your first MB? If so you in for a treat. The engine and transmission is one of the smoothest and most amazing in the industry. The prices are falling and it makes it prime for buyers. One hell of a Christmas gift it will make! Looking forward to seeing pics. I have had mine for some time now and so far there is nearly nothing to complain about... Well except I do not get to use it as much ;)

The second I read (and the one I pick ladies up in for dates) it means that you will be spending much more on them then your car:D You find that when you have a car like this many that you take home are not the ones you want to keep:thumbsup:

Lol! That is, if I don't end up being more interested in going for a drive than in taking them out :)

Take it from me brother.... First time out do not take them in the 600.... They will magically become in love with you and spout out words like "Wedding" Diamond ring" and "Family" :D
