I don't follow fashion at all, but some serious design has gone into this interior.

I've mostly posted about the couple of problems I've had with our new GL320 but I feel the need to post about something a little more upbeat.

What an interior! It is really an incredible environment of leather(everywhere-ooh the stitching), wood, chrome, and brushed silver. Ours is black and I cannot think of a nicer interior in the automotive industry. I catch myself staring at the door panel design-with the lines and use of all of the materials, it belongs in a museum. Where else could you find an environment like this? The bonus is that they've made it so user friendly from a utility standpoint.

What's your favorite part about the interior?

Hey str8line thanks for starting this thread. I agree with you 100% on the interior quality. We also have Black interior and the white stiching just stands out. Usually that is what we get the first compliment on. And, so our favorite has been the stiching so far.

Doesn't hurt that the stiching pattern and inside leather exactly match one of my wife's purse (kid you I not) :D

My another favorite is the A/C. Darn thing rocks. My 4 year old who we thought was immune to cold (it's always too hot for him) told me the other day to turn it off since he was "freezing". Being in SoCal and having gone through a couple of hot days, I can tell you, how nice it is to have that efficient A/C.

The GL interior is what really caught my eye. It's also the reason I started looking after only 15 months in the SRX. The SRX drives very well for an SUV (built on the STS chassis) , has loads of power (I have the 320hp Northstar), but the interior is pitiful! There are no less then 4 different textures and 3 colors visible from the driver's seat, all screaming plastic! It has been an increasing irritation since almost day one.

When I first saw the GL, I was really impressed by the interior. To echo str8line's and okinsh's comments, the stitching is fabulous. There is a cohesive theme to the materials and colors and the fit and finish is first class. It is on a par with my 7 series and that's remarkable for an SUV.

The interior caught our attention, sat inside and felt and looked great. After some time at the dealershp we went to check out a Denali. Yes there is a difference, M-B designs great interiors. Took a 600 mile trip Friday, just a great vehicle! :)

The Premier Edition interior still takes my breath away every time I see pictures of it.

I also LOVE my macadamia interior-my only complaint is the material of the sunvisor and my desire that MB start offering NAPPA leather again without having to order designo edition (which is obviously not even available for USA built vehicles)...The switches, dials and latches are of the best quality-

Could not agree with you guys more. The interior on these things is outstanding. The black interior with the wood, chrome, and brushed nickel accents is really sharp and why I chose black. I also agree that the A/C is pretty darn good as well. Hopefully it will still work as well when it hits the 110 degree mark out here in Las Vegas........
