Interesting site with a few 107s including a 560SL with asking price of $45k/ The gallery could be a how-to on photographing your car. He seems to like taking photos in a river! Anyone know where that is?

Yup, it's LA. That location gets used in movies/commercials all the time.

The photography skills and staging are very impressive! This person knows what they're doing.
Agreed...drainage canal in LA...remember Terminator 2?

Nice site. I would argue that he is finding nice examples and addressing what needs to be done, which is great but "lovingly restored" is a matter of years, not the 6 - 8 weeks he quotes in his detailed description "What I do".

That said, he certainly has some great cars on the site and is doing exactly what he should be doing with a nice original. That he can make a living off mainly diesel sedans is interesting. The only way to make a living in the broker business though, is to be very large or very small. Internet I think has made a small cottage industry for those who are able to find a niche car, focus on it, get known and can multi-task well.

I think the "sold" signs on this site, and some others like Schmitt for nice 107s and other MB shows there is always a market for quality cars.

There is a 84/5 300CD near us that is that colour. At first I didn't like it, but it is growing on me.

When shopping for our SL I looked at a 380 SL that appeared signal red in the local CL ad, but turned out to be this color. The car had other issues but the color was a bit of a turn off, saw it not too long ago still for sale here in CT.

Wasn't there an "Orient Red" that was this color?

501 orient red

504 english red (englischrot)

They are probably close in color but that is just an assumption on my part. Paint code would tell.

501 seems more of a maroon colour. It seems it was a special order colour from link below.

This is a useful link (if you understand German!)

RJMBurgess had a 500SE AMG in Orient Red that he recently sold to someone in Colorado. It is an interesting color. It definitely is not orange, much closer to maroon. The 113 picture looks like it shows the color well.
