Clean 99 S600 on EBay… Not sure if it can bring that kind of money with those miles
I’m very interested in the trunk Umbrella holder.. I had not seen that before. Was it a real MB option or just something added by someone?

On Saturday I passed by that dealership to make a quick overview video of their 1997 S500 that is listed on BaT! This is a very clean car. I think if you need a nice W140 S500 this may be the right choice. Auction ends tomorrow on Wednesday:

Rare 4-seater but it is unclear if the engine is indeed AMG tuned - if so, cannot be "just" 394 HP, or it only has the body kit.

We got the deal done, into the next digit on the first number. Thought it would be a stronger sale, but got what i needed, he got a great car thats ready for another generation of good driving. I feel really proud of my work and effort. The only thing, maintenance wise i had on a future to-do list was the Flex discs. Seems the w140 market peaked somewhat in Jan/Feb. Looks like a lot of sales on BaT have reversed trends a bit.
Interestly enough the guy who bought it (high bidder) said he is stocking up on them, also been bidding on other late model MB.
Still have some random parts available, listed on the classified thread.
A ~100k mile 1993 500SEL that sold for $9600 1 year ago is again for sale on BaT. The listing is basically identical, including text, except for the following new developments:
"the power rear windows are inoperable, the air conditioning shows signs of a leak, and the left-rear headrest is stuck in the down position"
*Seller says per mechanic it's probably the Evaporator. Yikes.
It will be interesting to see how the price of this same car has changed after 1 year (and a few mechanical issues)
June 2021: No Reserve: 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500SEL *Somebody messed up the model year
July 2022: No Reserve: 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500SEL
It's almost identical to my 1994 S500. I just have better documented service history, none of those mechanical issues, and 10k less miles.
