I was looking for a SLK for a co-worker and came across this. I don't know if there are any lurkers out there looking for a heavily modified SLK but this would seem like a good place to start. From what I can tell it looks as though the previous owner spared no expense.

I know the mechanic who did that at Mercedes in Willsonville...

Guy really did put in 50K. He had the whole thing repainted when it was almost brand new. I have a 2000/230 at the time and had the 32 on order...couldn't understand why he just didn't wait.

The work was top shelf.

I am sure he put in a good bit of money but I don't think there is anyway he is going to get anywhere near $32k for a 1998 SLK230. Hell you can find an SLK32 for around that price.
