Ive just got a c200 1995 - not exactly a rocket ship. However, Im contemplating some peroformance tweaks.

Im tossing up weather to do custom intake or a drop in k+n intake and "tidy" up the stock intake.

Any opinions or experiences would be great! Im still yet to see dyno sheets of before and after intake mods.

Cheers

Josh

im going with modifying the stock intake.

Im interested in what the plastic "grate" is just after the air box, before the temp sensor. Any purpose or can it be removed

The key is getting colder, more dense air into the engine. That's where you'll make more power. I've considered insultating the airbox from the engine via aluminized heat shielding, but just haven't found the time to mess around with it. So, while a cleaner, more direct intake route may help a bit, it's not helping to reduce the intake air temp. If you can do both, you'll generate the most HP for this mod.
