Anyone have a method and materials for refreshing the orange needles on our instruments? The needles on y '82 300CD are faded and not very attractive. What do we know?

Welcome/happy first post. Here's help on filling out your profile. It's helpful for members to see model and year in that - Complete your Profile

You can just paint your needles with model paint, they'll look like new and it's surprisingly easy. Just pick the shade you think is right.

I have a few spare dash clusters for my !90e ,and have tried different bulbs and different colors for the needles, I reverted back to standard, whilst I had one cluster off I decided to check how easy it was to turn the mileage back,it was so easy, and refers to a small white cog that you remove,it takes a few minuets to turn back 10k, this would be useful if you changed your cluster for a high mileage one, just saying.
