Don't even know if there's a LED equivalent. The instrument cluster backlighting and indicators take push-in type Euro-lamps. I use Sylvania 2721 (W1.2W)

TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY!

I used LEDs once throughout my 300D. Given my experience with them, I say stick with incandescent. Most of the bulbs I purchased didn't last any longer than incandescent.

Instrument cluster illumination uses 3w 2821 bulbs, the indicator/warning lights use the smaller 2721 bulbs. Here's a list of lightbulbs used on a w123:

Can also be found in the Online Tech Links Thread sticky at the top of the forum.

As for LED replacements, I'm not entirely thrilled with the "plug-n-play" solution for this so far. May modify a cluster with something more direct and dispose of the light tunnels.

I just ordered bulbs for replacement of the cluster as well as the interior lights. ledlight.com was my source. I cross referenced the LED's with the Sylvania bulbs on their site. I'll keep you posted.

Here is a post that will help: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w123-e-ce-d-cd-td/1416673-w123-bulbs.html

The bulbs I ordered are for my '85 wagon. Check your bulbs' physical size and order accordingly.
