As I was cleaning everything up after removing the fuel injectors, I noticed that the little aluminum brackets that hold the cam oiler in place is broken/missing.

I have one missing on each head, by the pictures it looks as if they have been broken off a while.

I'm sure this isn't a good thing as these pieces are small enough to fall into the oil return holes or worse case do some serious damage to the valve springs. I wonder how many other peoples cars have had these break and done damage. Ouch!

Picture one is from the top view, look at the bottom left of picture, cam bearing oiler, (long tube)

Picture two is from a side view, look at the top right of the picture, cam bearing oiler (long tube)

I have never seen this personally and don't remember anyone posting it in the past.
Fonzi is right. Some hammer handed ape was in there and broke them. Looks like it has been there for awhile so I wouldn't worry about it.
