Hello everyone I have the usual problem of an 03 70k vito 108 cdi not starting from hot.

I dont think I will be able to cure this problem myself although I am handy with the spanners, as there seems to be too many possible causes and solutions, therefore can somebody here recommend an independent MB van specialist in Kent as I want to avoid the main stealers if possible.

Any advice would be much appreciated .

Thankyou in advance .

Ugh... I know this has been discussed before.

It could be your hot film air mass sensor or your injectors. Also your hot film air mass sensor needs your filter to work just nicely so have a replace of that first. Could be a few things but I would start there first. Probably a sensor.

If you look at your air filter on the LHS of the van as you look at it with the bonnet open. The hot film mass air flow meter's connected to it by the corrugated hose.

If I get chance I will post a photo of it.

Cheers

Hi Ad
Sure glad your local in the event of any chew with my vito :newbie:

I would always use a independent repairer over a dealer as not only will you save money but probably recieve a better job.
Shame really as merc spec in teesside are superb.
Ive just had a full paint from them and it looks great and cheap enough.

I will however turn to my fellow merc owners from now on.

I have had a chat with Merc spec and they are a pretty knowledgable bunch... Most stuff can be done yourself but it's good to have someone close by.
