I use to have a bmw e38 and I remember there was a little clip on the end of the tracks where the seats slide and you could take it out to increase the leg room by a couple of inches is it the same for w140's,my 500sel drivers seat moves way farther back then my s420's

Is the 420 a short body? My S500 seat will go so far back that I can not reach the pedals. I am 6 ft tall.
no its the same length as my 500sel,I just looked at the tracks of the 500sel seats and there is no clip but the s420 does have the clips,i will take a picture and post later on,also when i got the s420 it had sum hideous sheep skin covers on it and when i wanted to remove them they had like 8 metal clips attached to the bottom of the seat so im guessing that messed it up
