For all diesel fanatics (E320 CDI owners), please post your MPG experiences, driving styles and how MPG can be improved. I used to get 33 mpg in summer 31 in winter with my 2005 E320 CDI with moderatley aggressive driving on a long daily commute (30 miles each way) 70% highway/30% city, now I'm getting 27mpg in a 2006 E320 CDI doing the same commute- dont know why its so much worse! Thinking of taking it to the dealer for a check up.

Maybe this week your are spending more time ideling at red lights? Smartass , I Know,I know. Every winter My ford F-350 powerjoke diesel burns a lot more fuel compared to warm weather driving. Possible due to not reaching optimum operating temperature and running interior heater??? I too have taking this vehicle back for updates on the ecu but everytime I take it in it seems to get worse, go figure!
I just gave up, and now drive it for what it is worth!!!
