Anyone got any ideas on how to fit a dual circuit immobilser to a 617a diesel. Apparently the normal method of fitting these is to install one circuit to cut off the starter motor and one to cut off the fuel pump circuit, but on the G the fuel pump curcuit is governed mechanically by a connection to the vacuum pipes on the back of the ignition switch.

Is there a good way cut off the fuel supply electronically, i'm thinking some sort of in line vacuum solenoid but have also been told some benz cars have an specific MB part to electronically turn on the fuel flow.

Anyone know of this part, where to get a vacuum solenoid or if either of these solutions would adversely affect the engine?

I have been giving this some thought since you asked me last and I may have the answer over at the F3 workshop, Remind me when you are next at Check Point Charlie.
