I got the Carlsson 1/6 19's.

285/45/19 is my tire size...

Im sick of the low profile look...

Can anyone recommend any other tire sizes to give my ML more of a off road look rathen then a street racing look?

You should check out what the BMW X5 comes with when you get 19" rims. I don't remember what BMW puts on them but they look pretty good and I suspect it may be the look you're going for.

Dear Doc....

l'm in the market for some new tires as well...l was directed to the Yokohama web-site....pretty impressive...275/60R/17, 275,60R18's are some nice sizes...with some pretty nice tread designs...the AVS model line is beautiful...take a look....one other tire you should see is the "Nitto" tire..some wild tread designs, and some big tires....good luck ...

Dr, yes you can go with a higher profile.........

I wouldn't go any higher than a 55 profile with the 19" rims. I put 60s on my 18" AMGs. There is a draw back though. You lose torque and you have to compensate for the larger diameter of the tire. Your speed will be off 7 to 8 percent (meaning instead of going 60 you will actually be going 65). One more is your mileage will also show less than actual (100 shown but actual it is around 108) same with MPG. Hope this helps. I like the look of the higher profile tires.

Thank you William.

Would you all say that a 60 Series ride is more confortable then a 45 Series?

Also is there any other type of tire that looks off roadish?

Tough question. I guess it would have to do with......

perceptions. Yes, I feel it is better. More air and rubber between the rim and the road. I went with Falkens for a meaner look in my opinion. I think with 19s you a limited in selection. Try tirerack.com or tires.com.
