In case anyone cares and/or is paying attention.

We now have between 60 and 600 topics on "what oil" or "what transmission fluid."

I realize noobs will be noobs, but really. There is no useful discussion, no stone left unturned, no dead horse left unbeaten, and no path left untrod.

My parting comment: You will *never* go wrong if you use spec fluids. But if you don't and something goes wrong, you'll be left wondering whether you precipitated the failure through your "superior intellect" or "eternal cheapness".

See you in other topics.

That is all. ;)

I don't blame you one bit Greg. I am also tired of seeing the same old same old "what oil is best or what ATF is approved?" Maybe if we ask raymond- nicely, he will delete any new threads on these 2 topics before we all have to endure them again and again.

A Declaration
By a Representative of the
Un-united States of Oils,
In W210 Forum assembled.
When in the course of Oily Events, it becomes necessary for People to dissolve the Oil Brands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Horse Powers of the Engine, the separate and equal Lubrication to which the Laws of Viscosity and of Oil’s manufacturers entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Owners requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.
We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Oils are created equal, that they are endowed by their Manufacturers with certain unalienable Containers, that among these are Grades, Viscosities, and the Pursuit of Lubricating moving parts in the engine ...
