Greetings, I'm trying to install my illuminated star in my grill-2015 GLK. Not finding a detailed DIY on this. Would like the end results to be on all the time, even when DRLs are off (parking light mode). Do I wire this into the fuse box? Any help is much appreciated - thanks in advance!

I haven't done it yet myself (summer project!), but from what I have read about the aftermarket stars, it's really up to you. Depending on model year, some have tied into the daytime running lights, marker lights, etc. You may have to install a resister if they cause the lights you tie into to blink and/or freak out.

If you have a late model, there may be a factory harness present, but it wont light the star as you wish. For some weird reason the OEM star is designed to light up when you unlock the doors and shut off while driving. A DOT thing maybe?

I installed the OEM kit on my GLK350. It was a breeze. The kit came with everything needed and I tied it directly into one of the fuses. The star is illuminated whenever the car is on.

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while. I finally installed my illuminated star. I followed a DIY on slkworld.com, because I wanted mine to stay on all the time regardless of my light switch setting. the only thing that was different - my star came with plenty of wire and I had to find a different place to terminate ground wire. It was VERY easy and looks great. To see "part 2" I had to join slkworld.com (it's free) !

A lot of good information here and from your referral over to the SLK forum.
But, I find some differences between my '15 GLK 350 and the SLK used on the SLK World install.
The SLk fuse link is quoted as a 10 Amp fuse and my #36 fuse link is a 7.5 amp fuse. Did you still use that slot with the 10 amp tap. I gather that you used the 10 amp tap with our 7.5 amp fuse AND 3 amp fuse in the tap. Am I correct? If so, which one pulls the 7.5 amps, the top or the bottom? Thanks for the help.

Did you took pictures while doing the installation and where you tapped the Wires? Would make a nice DIY for GLK's
