Has anyone else had trouble installing a new ignition wire holder? It is that plastic strip on the valve cover that covers the ignition wires. Mine was missing and I got a new one. They come in two parts, the bottom piece (don't have the part number handy) and the top piece (103 159 04 40). It is OE, star and all. It looks right and almost snaps together but by the time one end is aligned and snapped into the groove the other end is out. It is not because the wires are tangled. They are laying properly not causing the problem.

Has anyone else gotten one of these recently and gotten it installed properly?

Thanks.

I had one off my parts car put onto my sportline, It's a real tricky bugger and it loves to pop loose all the time. Just take your time and finesse it in. Sometimes moving the wires helps more even though they seem to be lying flat.

It is good to hear someone else noticed how weak this design is. I did everything but buy it dinner and it still pops loose.

I think I'm going to tap a few holes in the valve cover, put a few standoffs on it and make a nice aluminum cover. That will be much better than this plastic crap.
