Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the ignition switch on a 1992 MB230? the switch was dismantled to replace the barrel and key but when the wiring plug was removed from the back of the switch it fell apart and now the wiring is scrambled. The wire colours are: 2 red, 1 pink/red, 1 pink/green, 1 pink/yellow, 1 green/white, 1 purple and 1 black on the same terminal.

The terminals on the back of the switch have these numbers
50, 15R, P30, 15, 30, 15X, 30.

Which colour wire goes to which treminal?

Hi i have a 1992 190 d mercedes and when i was removing the igntion switch, the plug got dismanteled and now i have the wires hanging and dont know where each wire goes.

On the barrel there are pin codes which are:
P30
15
30
15X
30
50
15R

The wire colours are as follow:
RED / BLACK (THICK WIRE)
RED (THICK WIRE)
RED / YELLOW (THICK WIRE)
RED (THICK WIRE)
PURPLE / WHITE (THICK WIRE)
RED / GREEN (THICK WIRE) & RED / GREEN (THIN WIRE) - ON ONE CONECTOR PIN!
GREEN / WHITE (THIN WIRE)

Please advise me as to which wire goes into with pin code.

i solved the problem.... the combination is as follows:
P30 - GREEN / WHITE (thin wire)
15R - RED / GREEN (thin & thick wire together)
50 - PURPLE / WHITE
30 - RED
15X - RED / YELLOW
30 - RED
15 - RED / BLACK
