My 1993 190E 2.6 always does this ....especially when I start from a warm car.<br> <br> Can anyone tell me what is wrong? It rides well still at 198K miles!!! Accelerates great!

no black smoke...I thought maybe it could be my catalyct converter since I have been driving around and the engine is hot.

Catalytic converter work more efficiently when<br> hot.Its job is to finish off what the O2 sensor<br> has left off.The experts adviced that drive the car to heat up before emission insp.My guess is<br> a partially clogged up fuel injector/s.Try<br> using fuel injector such as Techron.It might<br> do the trick.Good luck!

What causes the car to stall when I try to start it after a long drive? It always takes the second try to get it started and idling.<br>
