Hello everybody,

my benz has multiple faults in the ignition, it appears that the electricity does not reach the ignition system, when stop in a red light i can feel the failure of 1 or more cylinders, i have check most of the system, spark plugs , wires, rotors, distributor cap and all seems to be ok, when i turn the head lights ,the A/C, and the radio it makes things worst ( not that much , just make the car jumpier ).i scanned and it gave no error codes,

and yesterday didnt want to start, the wires and coils have no electricity at all:eek::eek: , but there was power in all the car , light windows radio ..

any suggestions?

maybe the windows might work and soon the radio but if the car doenst start might be somthing in there not allowing it from to do so.

this is out of no where but doesn't hurt to try,

get your self a multimeter and do a voltage test for your battery and amperage test reading for your alternator . try them both with the car on and accessories on , and the car off. see what your readings are and maybe you would find something that might cause what your experiencing with the power surge in your ignition system..

good luck

ok look what you do . if you are able to start the car at all,

start it up, pump up your trunk and get access to the battery in the right side of the trunk, after your car is turned on, turn on the headlights to , the stereo, get the multimter turn the switch in it to 20v DC put the red knob to the positive cable of battery and the black knob to the ground battery and cable and see what the reading is on the multimeter. if you got anything under 13.xx volt than your alternator ( regulator is not good) if you got anything over 13 than youll pass that test.

shut off the car and just test the battery itself and see what youre reading for voltage with the car off.

let me know .

btw thanks and appreciate your comment about those tail lights

I'd imagine that if it's only at low idle it's a failure of the charging system. If the car has high km's/miles then it might not be charging properly through the alternator and may need the bushes or bearings redone.

ok the car starts but is jumpy , the cilinders are failling , the spark plugs are not constant , last night in a total dark i was amazed because all the spark plug wires were glowing :eek::eek::eek: it was cool :cool: , but i guess the wires are completely bad RIGHT ?:confused:

the multimeter shows 14.20v when is start but it goes up and down ,
when the A/C , the head lights and the radio are on it shows from 13.10v to 13.27 an so..

any sugestions ?:bowdown:

ok you're car doing good on the chargin system then.. what it seems to be the problem its in your ignition engine electrical system ( ignition wires, spark plugs, or coils.. you have to check/replace one by one and see what fixes the problem. good luck
