Hi everyone
My problem is i drove my 380SE yesterday,no problems,went out to it today can't get the key to turn,it's as if i have got the wrong key,but i have'nt.
Used half a tin of WD40 no joy,wiggled the key no joy just wont go [V].
Can anyone help?

Turn the stearing wheel side to side while you turn the key, it may be locked.

A friend of mine used to have this problem with her 300TD wagon.... now what I did to hers should probably be considered a last resort before removing the ignition.... I just gave it a good, stiff blow with a 5 pound, rubber coated, dead blow hammer right on the top of the ignition.... thus coining the phrase "Fix wit und hammmer!" This happened on several occasions and what it basically did each time was to free up the locking mechanism. Perhaps I should have considered a little spray of WD40 in there after the first time it happened to keep it freed up.
