can be done with out pullin the wheel. but are you sure the starter in your car isnt just bad or a bad battery? The key in the 1st and 2nd position function normally. Everything lights up as normal and you turn the key to start and nothing. Not a click nothing. Can you get the electronic portion out without having to pull the steering wheel? Do you have to remove the lock cylinder to get the electronic part out? Thanks for everyones help!

if its been in storage i would suspect a dead battery. try jump starting it first. So the car is in storage for 9 months out of the year- it does not do snow etc.
I got the car out last spring and had a new timevalve exhaust put on it did a major spring annual service and drove it home. Stopped maybe 3 times on the way. I back it down the driveway and turn it off. Open garage door and go to start the car and nothing. Could the starter just quit, like that? Any way to test it? Thanks guys- as a new member I appreciate the help!
