Like many others, I have a rough idle on my 79 450SL. I have changed out the vacuum lines and have sprayed unlit propane all over around the engine with no change in engine speed or sound. When I start the engine cold, it revs up to 1500 to 2000 rpm and after three minutes, settles down to a rough 700 rpm. The car runs pretty good once I get out on the road. I have looked on the EPC site for the idle control valve talked about on other threads. Is it the same as the Aux. air valve (0001410525), or the Idling air distributor (1160940712)??? Or is it another item altogether? I'm trying to get this thing to run smoother at idle and low speed.:surrender:
