No doubt it would be possible to do. But it would probably involve introducing some '90s 'black box' engine management and wiring.

I would not want to do that myself, as am into W123s precicely because they are are largely free of that sort of thing (except in the climate control, alas).

ok so gas engine is ideal for the w123 230e

The mechanical installation of an M119 wouldn't be too different from that of the M117. That has been done several times. Then you'll only need to do the engine management, but I'm sure something similar has also been done several times.

Hello there i would want to know if it is possible to fit the M111.970 engine in a W123 230e if so what would be needed to achieve this swap.
Do you have 2 M111.970's, or are you just trying to figure out which car would be the easiest swap. Your W123 or the W126.

Hey guys a thought just came to mind is it possible to fit an M111.970 in the W126 chassis 280SE.if so what is needed to be done because am willing to do so.
