Hi All,
I'm replacing my COMMAND with a Kenwood DMX9707S which supports the iDatalink Maestro module. However Maestro don't list Mercedes as compatible.

Is there something equivalent I can use that would link to the radio display and plug into the SL and display the same type of information?

Thanks

I'm sorry I don't have a solution for your question but I'm intrigue with the possibility of this system to replace the old out dated comand system I have in my 2005 SL 600, mine doesn't work either. Looking for alternatives. looks like you may have found one. I will be eagerly awaiting the positive outcome of your en devour.
cheers

There are a lot of threads which talk about replacing the units. My car is a 2009 which is different from previous years so there isn’t much information.
I should be done with the replacement at the end of December so will report back then.

I completely replaced the system in my 2004 SL55. Kenwood DNX997XR head, all new morel speakers including tweeters on A pillars, 600W arc audio Amp + 300 watt sub amp, kept Bose sub in foot well and added front and rear cameras. Did some sound deadening and installed 2 fans in rear compartment behind driver's seat. Steering Wheel controls are operational.

Had it done in Seattle at Ballard Custom Audio. Bill is fantastic. Did an amazing job! We tore everything out except the sub. Amps ,cd player all the speakers motorola hardwired phone!

Of course the older system, I believe is different then yours. Mine was the old fiber optics system. I couldn't be more pleased. The sound is amazing, as well as Garmin Nav, Android Auto, Bluetooth, Voice Commands, and Back Up Camera as well as front end camera1.
