I wish I could turn off traction control and leave on ESP (Cornering control) in the SLK350. The way it works now seems backwards to me. In my BMW I could turn of the traction control thus being able to get a good launch but it would leave on the cornering control for a safety net. You could also turn off every electronic watchdog.

In the SLK I can never get any wheel spin (past ½ second) before the traction control kicks in. I know that there is a way to turn off all the watchdogs via the service menu but I like the corning control for safety (on the streets).

Limited Slip Differential.
I figured that out as soon as I sent the post. Is it an option?
NA, MB says the SLK's wheelbase is a little short for LSD but I had it in my S-2000.

There's many cars with LSD, but shorter wheel base (i.e. MX5).

You can only get it from Brabus or Kleemann (maybe some others). The Brabus one won't void your warranty (at least over here). But you're looking for a job which will cost you several thousand bucks.
