I sold both of my 300D's, an '87 and a '93. I've had them what seems like forever (both in the family since new or almost new), but we simply had too many cars and not enough time/money to maintain them all.

I miss them already, but I think they went to a good home. I'm trying to find the upside(s) like more room in the garage, less insurance cost, etc. It is better this way, than the neighborhood kids bouncing things off the car or stealing the hood ornament.

my condolensce for your lost :(
i would have kept the 1993 300D and sold one of the other vehicles. there must have been a reason why you had 2 MBZ diesels in your collection :)

I see that your collection includes a 928. Last Fall we sold my father-in-laws 88 928-S4. It was a black on black 5-speed car in great condition. I drove it a few times to get it ready for sale (it had been sitting for almost 3 years since he was unable to drive) and that car was really a blast. It would take me about 2 weeks to lose my license if I owned that car.

That's rough...I can empathize... I'm thinking of a new car (I would like a late model S) but the problem is I can't bear to get rid my E and my wife will kill me if I were to keep it since this would cause us to wind up with 4 cars... such problems...
