I- Pod conversion kit for pre-2005 cars with Command?

OK, regarding the feature article on the homepage about the conversion kits that will be available for the I-POd-Command integration, beginning in June in Europe and I assume US thereafter - do these kits only work with models built after some specific date or are they intended to allow retrofit into say a model year 320 E with Command? THe article is vague on this point.

Looks like it's only for some '05s and for '06s. There is lots of good info at

(remove the obvious extra space in the name of the forum and paste it into your browser; wish they wouldn't block it out). Alternatively, do a web search for "Scorchie" and "iPod" - good luck.
