but see the thing is that there aren't that many options out there for the w124. unfortunate as that may be, there are some kits that are sold for less (erebuni).

I just talked to the guys at erebuni on the phone a few weeks ago and they have pretty much gone out of biz [at least for the older cars]. They also broke their molds so there was no interest on their part to sell the biz or transfer to another entity. It is a pretty closeknit family biz and they just decided to get out of it.

Erebuni kits use to go on eBay and other websites for under $600.
I haven't seen any since, or any for a W124 in a long time.

If you like the EVO II, then there is a replica by RACEONUSA which is on 3 month back order.
I like these because they had a wide body kit or fender flares and front lip kinda like a reiger.

But after looking at AlbertS's wide body and possible future E500 flare kit "soon to be" in production, I hold off.
I do like the WALD kit's too, very subtle and sleek looking, there was a guy from Diamond Bar, CA. selling replica's on eBay.

replica kits are crap - I still don't see why people even waste their money and invest in them. You own a Mercedes and you DO get what you pay for these days.

Both the WALD and AMG kit are awesome kits and the quality is awesome.

I have the AMG GenII kit and it was the best money ever spend.

Also, I have a complete REAL WALD V4 kit for the W124 Coupe.

PM if interested - asking $1,500 comes with Foglights as well.

1000% agree with chrisdpham. However must say that a custom fabricated kit is far better quality than most of the replica kits out there. In some cases a custom kit will fit way better than the original ever could.

Example: I ordered a Carlsson full kit for my W210, waited for 4 months, and when I got the original kit, the front bumper was 1.5" longer on each side. So we had to modify the fenders a bit to match it perfectly.

Bottom line is. You can get the cheapest crapiest body kit out there, and with right money and time spent and a very good professional custom fabricator, you can make it fit and look like a million dollars.

You do get what you pay for.

In case you want to go a custom route, here is some contacts for you to check out:

Albert - http://socalcarbon.com
Leo - CLD Motorsports - Custom Lion Design - You dream it, we build it...

Both are in LA area and both have performed miracle work right in front of my eyes. Highly recommend to anyone!!!

PS: $1500 for original Wald Coupe kit + Fog lights is a very good price

I bought an erubuni ////AMG ducktail wing for my car. It doesn't even almost fit correctly. My body shop guy, a wizard, told me it was not a quality fibreglass casting and it would take him many hours, at great cost, to make this wing look the way I wanted it to look on my car!
