I use to have a 1988 420sel and it was so comfortable and solid now i have a w201 190e 2.6 not bad at all but if it wasnt for the high gas prices and that i drive so much i would surely keep the w126 check the pics

Very nice. At least you stayed with Mercedes. Still a little classy car, but too small for me.

But as a daily driver, I will admit that the W126 is an absolute killer with today's oil prices. I only drive the W126 because I see the car as a hobby and something to look and play with on random occasions and to somewhat piss my buddies off because they don't know why I keep it.

It's too bad we don't live in places like Venezuela with $.12/gallon. Or else I'd be driving the 126 everyday.

Honestly....I get barely better gas mileage out of my 2.6 vs. my SEC. Especially with the a/c on.

The 190 looks to be in pretty good shape. What year is it, and what kinda miles?

I try and be practical but everytime i consider driving anything other than my SEC i cant help but think "why am i driving this when i own a SEC?" so i grin and bear $140 a week on fuel because driving my Mercedes is one of the things that just makes life awesome...

My W126 300SE is bought and paid for so any driving I do is just fine by me. It gets about 22 mpg and I know I need to fix things like injector seals, headgasket oil leak, and some old vacuum lines and rubber bits.

I'm still paying for the FORD though.
