...while cleaning the windshield, you can't lift the wiper blades up!! The hood is on the way; you can only lift them an inch or two before they hit the hood.

Not a big deal, but what a bummer.

LOL I didn't notice either, I brought one for my wife on the condition she washes it :D I just looked and you're right, I ask her and she said she had not tried as she can't reach :p

If you lightly pull on the driver’s side wiper blade assembly you can manually move the arm upwards to the middle of the wind shield then you can lift the wiper blades up. Found out by accident while washing my truck.

This is common for MB. Normally I open the hood to lift the wipers (on my SLK) - the GLK will get its first good washing this weekend.
