Seems like a good car. You might want to see in the paper work if the evaporator was ever replaced. The 96's also had evaporator issues.

[xx(][xx(][xx(] I thought it was only the first couple of years that had this problem. Is the the same type of evap in these cars as the 91's?

Can evap life be extended by changing the receiver/drier, or anything added to the mix?

Any info happy, or otherwise is welcome.

The evaporator issue is the same in all cars. You might want to see after how many miles did the first owner got it changed. It should last atleast ~ 70K miles or so.
