I’ve got aluminum alloy “Bundt” rims on my 1979 300SD. I’d really like to get some hubcaps on, so that means I’d need steel rims. Any clue which steels rims I’d need/ what they’re called? I’m getting new tires soon anyway, so now would be the time!
@Fonzi Ian told me you might be able to help with this question! Let me know if so, and thank you!

Steel wheels are heavy and expensive to ship. I don’t know your budget, but you could get very picky if you want. I think the most expensive options you could go after would be 15” steel 7x15 et25, or 6x14 alloy steelies, then maybe 5.5x14 alloy steelies and then 6.5x14 steel with cooling fins on the back, and then 6x14 with cooling fins on the back, maybe dog dish capable 6x14 steel. The least valuable IMO would be 5.5” that can’t accept dog dish caps. I don’t know though.
