you can use it and it works,
here is the deal,
bose only works w/2 ohms and everybody else uses 4 or 8 ohms for impedance (resistance).
the adapter is just a passive element that does impedance matching (matches 2 ohms to 4 or 8 ohms).
so in theory you lose some power; however, if you use a BIG ASS amplifier you ear will probably not notice any difference.
anyway, you can probably buy the adapter at wallmart.
i know its available at wallmart for my 300zx.
you can check w/www.crutchfield.com also, $100.00 sounds a bit high to me.
